On My Wishlist (16) – Cait Style

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where I list all the books I desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It’s also an event that you can join in with too – Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own ‘On My Wishlist’ post. If you want to know more click here.

It’s August, and do you know what the means? Heat waves, back to school and… the release of Bloodlines, the first book in Richelle Mead’s new Vampire Academy World series. I thought this would only be appropriate to post, since it’s only a matter of days that it will be purchased and in my hands. I can barely contain the excitement!

By Richelle Mead
Publisher: Razorbill
Publish Date: Aug 23, 2011
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy/Paranormal

When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive – this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.
