Veteran’s Day, November 11th, 2010

I have more than a few veterans in my family tree, including my own father; bless them for their sacrifices and bless and protect those on active duty, reservists, those who are training and those who will be enlisting.  It’s not an easy choice to make and it’s as hard or harder on their loved ones who wait behind.  I see all the “Happy Veteran’s Day,” cards and signs and while I get the sentiment and do want to celebrate their service, more than anything, I hope it’s a day of reflection first.
